Research Program Manager

Apogee Engineering is seeking a Research Program Manager in support of the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) located in Colorado Springs, CO. The Research Program Manager will provide management support for research, technology transfer and strategic communications and marketing to the USAFA Office of Research for the Dean of Faculty research enterprise. What you'll be doing: Provide management support to theUSAFA Associate Dean of Research and the Office of Research staff, including coordination of the Apogee Research Program Team support Prepare, attend and present current status of Office of Research support efforts, timeline of events, any relevant issues, and budget information for the Weekly Office of Research Meeting Lead and participate in the creation, modification, and maintenance of procedural continuity documentation for USAFA research enterprise tasks related to current roles, responsibilities, training needs, and requiredreporting Provide project management support to Office of Research programs directly related to the USAFA research enterprise Assist and advise the Office of Research in managing various grant proposals for the Dean of Faculty Research Enterprise Lead the management of the annual USAFA Research Awards program Oversee the activities to plan, organize, coordinate, integrate, execute and manage the Office of Research's portion of USAFA research enterprise events Manage activities supporting all visits/tours hosted by the Office of Research which includes development of an agenda, assistance with base access and coordination of visit/tour related actions with base public affairs and protocol offices Coordinate the USAFA research enterprise publications activities with the appropriate USAFA mission elements, which includes creation of the Annual Research Directory, the public release approval process for academic research artifacts/documents, and serving as liaison regarding the Office of Research's external media presence Ensure timely and accurate review of research support agreements between a Dean of Faculty departments or agencies and any contractor or external government or civilian agencies Oversee management of the research support agreements and interact with internal and external agencies and organizations to facilitate the establishment of support agreements related to research and technology transfer Oversee support of the transfer of technology to federal or state government and civilian organizations Oversee activities for preparation for, attendance, and facilitation of Intellectual Property meetings as required Oversee coordination of the invention disclosure process with potential submitters and facilitation of application submittal Oversee preparation and submission of the AFRL Technology Transfer Annual Report and AFRL Quarterly Update Report Travel may be required What you'll need to have: 8+ years of experience (combined) in project management, technical publications, academic research, and/or public relations Expertise in project management, preferably leading multiple simultaneous projects in support of academic research Expertise in processes and methods for creation, development, and technical editing of formal publications Experience collaborating with public relations and marketing functional organizations Experience working with and implementing military protocol and business etiquette Equal Opportunity Employer: disability/veteran. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
