Network Admin Sr (Splunk)

This position will be based at a customer site in Colorado Springs, CO.
Responsibilities:
Perform analysis, implementation and management of the Mission Net to configure, expose and integrate required network security data to support a Splunk Security Incident Event Management (SIEM) environment.
Working under general direction must provide security solutions to a wide range of issues.
Aggregate event data from across the environment into a single repository of critical security insights for cyber forensics, incident response and other security operations identified through operations, events and downward direction.
Configure application, infrastructure and endpoint agents and logging as identified and requested by the customer.
Configuring to expose data for consumption as required to support cybersecurity analytics and operations.
Install, configure, integrate, operate, maintain and update the Splunk SIEM system to support cybersecurity situational awareness and decision making.
Develop, implement and document a scalable and secure architecture for multiple and evolving data sources, third party applications and other providers to integrate data feeds into a centralized Splunk SIEM platform.
Work with government leads or representatives to configure Splunk data feeds as required for ingestion into a security operations automation capability to after hours as needed based on Cybersecurity priorities established by the customer.
Independently and as requested by the government create routine and ad-hoc reports for Technical, Business and Executive Management. Reports will show environment operating health, security and threat status to provide users and leadership information for awareness and to make effective and timely decisions.
Develop operational security processes to continuously monitor network assets and detect malicious activity and respond to government personnel at agreed upon thresholds.
Respond to after hours as needed based on Cybersecurity priorities established by the customer.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience (6 years).
DoD Secret Clearance.
5+ years of relevant work experience, at least 3 years in Cybersecurity is required.
Demonstrated experience with Splunk and full suite of available tools.
DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).
Submit to and pass a T3 Background check.
Ability to interact with people at all levels resulting in a positive customer service experience.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
A professional attitude regarding attention to detail and customer service and excellent organizational skills.
The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to access sensitive information, which requires US citizenship.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
