Senior Director, ERM Strategic Functions and Response

As a key leader, part of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team, you will be responsible for leading multiple areas including Third Party Risk Management Oversight (TPRO), Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) technology platform, global resiliency, business partner risk management and serve as Circle's strategic response lead and coordinator. You will work within the ERM team and closely as a key partner of the Strategy, Communications and Global Policy team, to lead the integrated development of Circle's global business continuity, resiliency planning, crisis and strategic response. The role will also support and drive corporate strategy, global policy, communications, thought leadership and social impact as a part of a dynamic and highly collaborative team. The role will ensure tight, cross functional alignment, develop protocols and policies and run quarterback as the implementation leader during reputational and response scenarios. You will oversee the implementation and execution of controls by respective functions to ensure that the overall risk is appropriately managed based on Circle's risk appetite. The right candidate will possess and demonstrate strategy, process and system design, communication, time management, presentation and change agility abilities. What you'll work on:
Developing the Third party Risk Management Oversight(TPRO) practices in support of the Third Party Management (TPM) Program as part of ERM Program. Oversight and adherence to all the risk aspects of the TPM Program including on-going end-to-end process improvement as related to controls and overall TPRM practices. Leading the development and management of the GRC technology platform from selection, requirement definition, testing, administration and training. Creating and leading an ERM partner team that will work closely with the Business Functions on managing their risk activities. As an ERM Partner, serve as a member of the specialized risk committees that support risk management activities based on specific risks within their scope. Developing, managing and executing Circle's strategic business response process end-to-end working in close collaboration with the strategy and communications team. Activating and ongoing maintenance of a scalable process for business continuity and crisis situations. Developing and maintaining the business continuity and resiliency programs including employee training. Preparing and executing table top exercises relating to crisis management and business continuity. Collaborating cross functionally to identify resiliency gaps, operational threats and executing a plan to address them Continuous improvement, analysis and insights following each crisis event. Provide analysis and recommendations to Executives and the risk community on Business Continuity/Crisis Management best practices Work closely with strategy, regulation, communications, compliance, risk, legal, product, operations and other cross-functional teams to understand the overall business environment and quarterback Circle's strategic response program processes and procedure documentation. Interface with all relevant regulators and other stakeholders as the main point of contact with respect to our strategic response program, and relevant technology and operational processes. Multi-task to play other leadership and execution roles, as needed, in Circle's overall ERM and compliance and risk function. Collaborating with the Chief Strategy Officer, VP of Communications, Chief Risk and Compliance Officer and VP, ERM in projects and responsibilities, as assigned, that may be global in nature. Supporting the Enterprise Risk Management Committee in providing risk expertise and input into the overall health of the ERM program. Leading the creation and management of a Global Resiliency framework including tools required for the program. Recommending vulnerability mitigation strategies, and influences remediation management to business units. Analyzing complex business problems and recommending mitigations to improve the capability of the Business Resiliency function (e.g. risk appetite framework, enterprise risk reporting, policy framework). Performing governance and oversight activities to ensure business functions are in compliance with the Business Resiliency framework. You will aspire to our four core values:

years working in risk management of a financial services (preferred), payments or technology (growth) company. 7
years of experience managing teams Mastery of strategic, business response and reputation management with multi-stakeholder engagements on a wide range of complex global issues. Expert knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management frameworks, risk management processes, risk appetite statements, key risk measures/indicators (leading vs lagging), and review. Experience in embedding a risk culture in a rapidly expanding business environment, preferable technology or financial services. Mastery of Enterprise Risk Management, building programs, especially control experience across several disciplines including business continuity, GRC technology platforms and business partnership risk management. Unexcelled communications abilities, in all forms and for all audiences, across cultures, interests and stages. Proven track record in driving impact, outcomes and engagement in complex multi-level influencing and negotiations both laterally, with executives and board members. Mastery of working in an dynamic, entrepreneurial and highly collaborative environment. Proactive self-starter. Technical virtuosity in global financial, technology and emerging political and regulatory issues shaping global markets. Consummate communicator in complex, multi-stakeholder global environments and model behaviors consistent with company values and the highest ethical standards. Proficiency in Google Suite, Slack and Apple MacOS preferred.
Salary Range:
$250K -- $500K+
Minimum Qualification
Corporate Finance, Risk & Quantitative AnalysisEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
